Motorcyclist's Happiness Won't Fit Into His Suit

A motorcyclist is extremely happy with his motorcycle. He will not lend it to anyone. Instead, he will “embellish” it every time more. On board of his motorcycle and with a haughty demeanor he rides noisily into the jungle.
Born in Pátzcuaro Michoacán, Gabriel Herrera is a filmmaker, video-maker, and academic. He graduated from UNAM and has made several short films and video pieces exhibited and recognised in different international festivals. He is currently a professor at the Escuela Nacional de Artes Cinematográficas and is in the process of finishing a fiction feature-length film.

David Illescas was born in the Zapotec town of San Juan Tabaá in the Sierra Norte of Oaxaca. He has a degree in Theater and Acting from the Centro Universitario de Teatro of the Autonomous National University of Mexico (UNAM), graduating with the work “La Pastorela de San Juan Tabaá: un Rescate Identitario de una Comunidad Zapoteca” (The Pastorela of San Juan Tabaá: A project of Identity Rescue in a Zapotec Community). He has participated in two TV series, six short films, and six feature films, among them, “Noche de Fuego” by Tatiana Huezo premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2021. He starred in the film “Manglar, la llegada al bosque del agua” by Juan Garrafa and co-starred in “Sin Señas Particulares” by Fernanda Valadez, premiered at Sundance 2020. He starred in the short film “Al motociclista no le cabe la felicidad en el traje” by Gabriel Herrera, premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival 2021. In theatre, he has participated in more than seven productions and collaborated with important directors and art theatre collectives such as Hugo Arrevillaga, Mario Espinosa,Claudio Valdéz Kuri, Alberto Villarreal, Roger Bernat and Lagartijas Tiradas al Sol. He won the Ariel 2021 award for best male co-acting for the film “Sin Señas Particulares”.
